Physician Job Description:
Premier Hospitalists has proudly serviced the Tampa Bay Area for 8 years. Our President & Chief Medical Officer Dr. Manish Sharma is currently searching and actively interviewing Board Certified/eligible Internists & ARNP's for our current 2016 openings. Hospitalist experience is a plus; however we do encourage new graduates to apply. An important quality we are looking for is an excellent bedside manner, the ability to build a rapport not only with inpatients but their families.
Examination, diagnosis, and treatment of inpatients.
Management of patients throughout their hospitalization, including admission, active follow-up and establishing an efficient discharge process. Management of critical care patients with expertise in organizing post-acute care processes. Ordering of appropriate laboratory and imaging tests. Consulting and communicating with specialty physicians and primary care physicians when appropriate.
Requires a degree in medicine from an accredited medical or osteopathic school and is licensed to practice in Florida.
Must be board certified or board eligible.
2-4 years of hospitalist experience preferred. Must be familiar with current standards of care, including practice and procedures in Internal Medicine. Use proper judgment to plan and accomplish goals for hospitalist patient care optimization including awareness of average length of stay, readmission rates, and quality parameters. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
Should have good rapport not only with patients but with medical and administrative staff, and office management.
Participate in monthly meetings with the purpose of discussing patients cases, quality goals, and hospitalist metrics.

18/20 Days per Month Schedule
2 Maximum from Home On-Call Per Month
week on / week off

10 days off per month Nocturnal NP covering call nights at our major hospitals 4 nights a week.
