Candilla Davis A.R.N

Candilla Davis, A.R.N.P.

Candilla Davis is an ARNP with a broad range of healthcare experience that extends over 13 years. She joined Premier Hospitalists in 2016. Originally from Queens, NY, Candilla Davis considers herself to be a native Floridian at heart.

She is a graduate of the University of Florida, where she completed her Bachelor of Science degree in 2005. After graduation, she traveled to Augusta, Georgia where she had an opportunity to work with the VA hospital caring for spinal cord patients. She later logged many clinical hours working for an academic medical center in the areas of cardiology, orthopedics, surgery, and critical care. She and her family moved to Tampa in 2009, where she continued her work in critical care working in medical and vascular surgery intensive care units.

She completed her Master’s degree in Family Nurse Practitioner at the University of South Florida in 2015. She has worked both in primary care and hospital medicine. She is an active member of her local chapter ARNP association and has been published in Minority Nurse Magazine. Her primary focus as an ARNP is to provide comprehensive and quality patient and family centered care.

Her main joy in life is centered around her children and faith.

Ebony M. Rollins MSN FNP C

Ebony M. Rollins MSN, FNP-C

Ebony Rollins joined Premier Hospitalists in 2018. Originally from Lake Hamilton, FL., Ebony started her nursing career early as a Practical Nurse in 2004 where she went straight into hospital medicine working in neurosurgery.

She received her Registered Nursing degree Degree in 2009 at Valencia Community College in Orlando and she then transitioned to a career in critical care to include cardiovascular and thoracic surgery. She also has experience in dialysis and nursing management.

She then went on to receive her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington with honors. In 2016 she returned to school at Simmons College in Boston, Massachusetts and earned her advanced practice degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner.

During this time she specialized in community health, hypertension, and diabetes management. Because she has a huge passion for nursing education she also serves as an academic coach for students at various universities. In her spare time Ebony enjoys spending time with her daughter, going to the beach with her family, and reading.

She also loves to travel and collect souvenirs.

Prasand Kesavan M

Prasand Kesavan M.D.

Dr. Kesavan joined Premier Hospitalists in 2018.

He is originally from New York and completed undergraduate school at New York Institute of Technology.

He attended Ross University in Dominica for medical school. He then attended the Medical College of Georgia where he completed his residency in family medicine.

Dr. Kesavan moved to Florida to join his wife, who was doing her residency in Gainesville, Florida.

Both he and his wife have now relocated to Tampa where they currently practice medicine.

Dr. Kesavan has an interest in chronic lung disorders as well as wound care management.

He enjoys watching basketball, especially the New York Knicks and also enjoys college football.

Yasmin Mahmoud M.D.

Yasmin Mahmoud MD, is originally from Iraq.

She joined Premier Hospitalists in 2016. Yasmin relocated with her family to Tampa from Detroit, Michigan so her husband could complete his fellowship at the University of South Florida.

She completed her Internal Medicine residency at Michigan State University’s Hurley Medical Center.

Her interests include preventive medicine, women’s health, cardiovascular disease and diabetes primary prevention.

She is a member of the American Medical Association and the American College of Physicians. She holds a Florida medical license, Michigan medical license, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and Basic Life Support license.

Yasmin earned her ECFMG certificate in 2010.

Dr. Mahmoud has also volunteered with the Young Woman Christian Association, Family Fitness and Wellness Expo, and the Men’s Health Fair with Hurley Medical Center.

She enjoys spending time with her husband and two kids. She also enjoys swimming and cooking.

Vatanie Guerrier joined Premier Hospitalists in 2015.

She was born and raised in West Palm Beach, FL.

Growing up Vatanie had a strong passion for nursing and always knew she wanted to be in the medical field.

In 2008 she graduated from Palm Beach State College with an Associate of Arts degree and later that year she moved to Tampa to attend nursing school.

She graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of South Florida class of 2010. After graduating she began her career as a Registered Nurse fulfilling her passion.

After three years of nursing she decided it was time to go back to school to obtain her masters degree.

In 2015, Vatanie graduated with a Master of Science, Summa Cum Laude in Nursing at the University of South Florida, and a few months later she became a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner.

Her clinical Interest include diabetes, cardiovascular disease, kidney disease, cancer, transplant, and women’s care. Vatanie enjoys helping people and making a difference in the lives of others.

Outside of nursing she loves spending quality time with her family and friends, eating and traveling.

Manish Sharma, D.O.

Premier Hospitalists is lead by our managing partner Dr. Manish Sharma.

Dr. Sharma started the group back in 2008 with the commitment to provide the Tampa community with timely and accurate in-patient health care services.

Premier Hospitalists’ core values of patient-centered care, communication and continuity of care are what really guides our organizational culture.

Dr. Sharma is an American Board of Internal Medicine certified physician.

He completed his residency at Albany Medical Center in Albany, New York. Dr. Sharma earned his medical degree from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1977.

His undergraduate studies were completed at Saint Lawrence University in Canton, New York. He is a current member of the Florida Osteopathic Medical Association and the Society of Hospital Medicine.

Dr. Sharma has a true commitment of setting the standard in medicine.

In his spare time he likes to cheer on his beloved Tampa Bay Lightning and spend time with his wife and their two children.

Douglas Schwartz, D.O.

Dr. Schwartz joined Premier Hospitalists in 2014.

Originally from Long Island, New York, Dr. Douglas Schwartz is a graduate of Cornell University with a Pre-Medical major, class of 2004.

He graduated from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, Georgia Campus with honors in 2009.

He spent his next five years in Memphis, Tennessee completing Internal Medicine residency, followed by completing fellowship in kidney disease and dialysis.

Dr. Schwartz then moved to Tampa, Florida with his wife and young daughter. His interests in medicine include managing high blood pressure, electrolyte and metabolic disturbances, and improving overall hospital medicine.

Dr. Schwartz enjoys spending time with his family. Dr. Schwartz is a New York Yankees fan. He can often be found at Tampa Bay Lightning games.

Susannah Hall, A.R.N.P.

Susannah Hall, ARNP was born and raised in Tampa, Florida.

Susannah joined the Premier Hospitalists team in September 2017.

Her passion to help others led to her pursuing a career in nursing. Her educational focus included adultgerontology and primary care nurse practitioner.

She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at St. Petersburg College in St. Petersburg, FL, and her Masters of Science in Nursing at the University of South Florida, Tampa, FL.

She is an American Heart Association BLS/ACLS Certified Member.

Susannah is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practioners and Florida Association of Nurse Practioners.

She spent 5 years in Italy volunteering with the Catholic Church as a missionary. Susannah enjoys spending time with her family.

She enjoys the time she spends at the dog park with her Labrador Retrievers, “Friday” and “Shana” as well as being an active member of her church (Sacred Heart Catholic Church) in her spare time.

Belinda Schwartz, D.O.

Dr. Schwartz joined Premier Hospitalists in 2018.

Her education started at the University of North Texas where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology and graduated cum laude.

She earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine. from Georgia Campus Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Schwartz trained at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Manhattan and SUNY downstate Health Science Center in Brooklyn.

She has earned many awards and scholarships and has been published many times.

She volunteers at the St. Petersburg Free Clinic. Belinda also has volunteered at the Clearwater Free Clinic, the Johnnie Ruth Clarke Health Fair, Gwinnett Community Clinic, Good Samaritan Health Center, 13th Congressional District Health Fair, and the Dallas Presbyterian Hospital Well Woman Health Fair.

She is American Board Internal Medicine certified, BLS certified, and ACLS certified.

Her hobbies are water sports, Krav Maga (self defense Israeli martial arts), and international current events (news junkie).

She enjoys spending time with her American bulldog mix Diesel, and her lab pit mix Lucy.

Moiya Brown joined Premier Hospitalist in 2016

She earned her Bachelors of Science in Nursing at the University of South Florida and went on to earn her Masters of Science in Nursing (Adult/ Gerontology) at Kaplan University.

Her clinical interests are congestive heart failure, diabetes, COPD, hypertension, kidney diseases, cardiology, hyperlipidemia, hematology disorders, thyroid disease, MI, cardiac disease, lung disease.

Moiya is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, and is American Heart Association BLS/ ACLS Certified.

She is also Adult/Gerontology Advanced Nurse Practitioner Board Certified.

Her personal interest is working out at the gym. She enjoys reading fiction and self-help books.

She also enjoys time with friends and family, retail therapy, and traveling.

Shamira Lewis joined Premier Hospitalists in 2016.

She earned her Bachelor of Science and her Masters of Science in Nursing at the University of South Florida where she was a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

Shamira is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner.

She holds certifications with the American Heart Association Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support.

Clinical Interests include patient education, prevention and treatment of chronic diseases which include hypertension, hyperlipidemia, heart failure, diabetes, transplant, and kidney disease.

She strives to provide the highest quality patient care. Her personal interests include Community Service, Volunteer Health Fairs, Member of Central Tampa Baptist Church, spending time with family and friends, shopping and traveling.
